Anti-Virus
Step 1 – Turn off <Anti Virus>. If you have anything besides “Windows Defender” you will need to figure that on your own.
– Reason turning off Anti-Virus to prevent a false positive during install. Anti-Virus will be turned back on after done.
Step 2 – Bottom right there is a icon. This is “Windows Defender”
Step 3 – Right Click over that icon and choose “View security dashboard”


Step 4 – Click on “Virus & threat protection”
Step 5 – Click on “Manage settings” under <Virus & threat protection settings>


Step 6 – <Virus & threat protection settings>
Step 5 – Turn off “Real-time protection“, Turn off “Cloud-delivered protection“,
Step 5+ – Turn off “Automatic sample submission“, Turn off “Tamper protection”

- Click on the button above to begin the download
- Select and Highlight file “CCStopper v1.2.3-hotfix.2.zip“
- Right Click on the file and from the menu select “Extract All…“

- New window appears “CCStopper v1.2.3-hotfix.2” appears
- Open the folder
- Select & Right Click on the file “CCStopper.bat“
- Choose “Run as administrator“

- Press 2 (Proceed without creating a restore point)
- You can choose option 1 to create a restore point but that is your choice.

- Windows Explorer needs to restart for changes to apply. Things will flash; please don’t worry
- Press 1 (Restart Now)

Windows 11 Firewall
- Click on the Search icon
- Type in the search box “Firewall“
- Click on “Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security“
- New window appears

- Click on “Outbound Rules“

- Next…
- Click on “Action” menu, then click on “New Rule…“
- New window appears

- New window
- Click on “Program” then click “Next“

- Click on “This program path:“
- Next click “Browse“
- Navigate to C Drive then to Program Files then to Adobe then to Adobe Photoshop 2024 then click on Photoshop.exe
- Click on “Next“

- Click on “Block the connection“
- Click on “Next“

- Verify “Domain” & “Private” & “Public” are all checked marked
- Click “Next“

- Name type in “Adobe Photoshop – (Outbound)“
- Click “Finish“
- Done

- Close and Exit “Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security“
- Reboot computer and Photoshop should be working again
